Some information about the venue (West-Indisch Huis):
The building used to be the headquarters of the Dutch West India Company (WIC), located in the center of Amsterdam. Built in 1617, it was expanded and modified several times, until heavily damaged by a fire in 1975. It was reconstructed from 1978-81.
In the courtyard there's now a fountain with a statue of Peter Stuyvesant, a major figure in the early history of New York City. "In this building, the WIC's governors in 1625 ordered the construction of a fort on the island of Manhattan, laying the foundations for New York City." (Wikipedia)
