Elsevier Will Derive Print and Electronic Products from the Same Workflow and Content
Elsevier, the world’s leading publisher of science and health information, has launched Klopotek’s PPM (Product Planning and Management) system for the first group of their Science and Technology book titles in the US, the UK, and India. Klopotek PPM replaced the existing software systems with a centralized database solution integrating the classical publishing business with innovative business models in the areas of electronic products and content delivery.

Klopotek, the largest international provider of software and services to the publishing industry, and SCHEMA, a leading provider of native XML based enterprise component Content Management Systems (“CMS”) have announced an exclusive alliance to distribute and implement the 2nd generation CMS SCHEMA ST4 in the Publishing Industry. Per the agreement, Klopotek will exclusively implement, consult and support SCHEMA ST4 in the publishing industry worldwide.

Klopotek and Publishing Technology, two of the largest providers of software and services to the publishing industry, have established an alliance to increase the availability of online offerings in Germany and the Benelux countries. In these markets Klopotek will promote two of Publishing Technology's online products:
IngentaConnect, a fully-outsourced e-publishing service receiving in excess of 6 million visits each month, and
pub2web, a publishing platform designed to address the evolving and diverse online strategies of the 21st century publishing community.
