Ballon Media, the Antwerp-based Belgian publisher of children's and comic books, has selected the Software as a Service version of Klopotek's Publishing Solution to better manage and optimize their business processes. Software as a Service (SaaS) was internationally launched by Klopotek as an internet-based, on-demand service solution.

For a full day, on 10 June, at the historic West India House in Amsterdam Klopotek customers and management from Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and North America met to discuss the latest development in the publishing industry.

 

Klopotek’s Editorial Planner, a tool that automates project planning and quickly delivers financial analysis, and the CE Tool, a software for administrators of the Klopotek solution, are the first Klopotek products that have received the “Compatible with Windows 7” certificate of the Microsoft Partner Network.

UNESCO is implementing the Klopotek Standard Software for Publishers to manage their worldwide publications operations and optimize the publishing workflows.

Academic publisher BRILL, with offices in Leiden (The Netherlands) and Boston, Massachusetts (USA), is implementing Klopotek’s publishing solutions for its entire range of products, including electronic products, major reference works, primary source collections, and journals.

Elsevier Will Derive Print and Electronic Products from the Same Workflow and Content

Elsevier, the world’s leading publisher of science and health information, has launched Klopotek’s PPM (Product Planning and Management) system for the first group of their Science and Technology book titles in the US, the UK, and India. Klopotek PPM replaced the existing software systems with a centralized database solution integrating the classical publishing business with innovative business models in the areas of electronic products and content delivery.

Klopotek, the largest international provider of software and services to the publishing industry, and SCHEMA, a leading provider of native XML based enterprise component Content Management Systems (“CMS”) have announced an exclusive alliance to distribute and implement the 2nd generation CMS SCHEMA ST4 in the Publishing Industry. Per the agreement, Klopotek will exclusively implement, consult and support SCHEMA ST4 in the publishing industry worldwide.

Klopotek and Publishing Technology, two of the largest providers of software and services to the publishing industry, have established an alliance to increase the availability of online offerings in Germany and the Benelux countries. In these markets Klopotek will promote two of Publishing Technology's online products: IngentaConnect, a fully-outsourced e-publishing service receiving in excess of 6 million visits each month, and pub2web, a publishing platform designed to address the evolving and diverse online strategies of the 21st century publishing community.
