AW Bruna and WPG Belgium will implement Klopotek to optimize workflows

WPG Publishers, one of the leading publishing groups in Benelux, chose as early as in 2000 to implement the Klopotek publishing solution. Having relied on the system for over 10 years, now publishing houses A.W. Bruna and WPG Belgium, formerly Standaard Uitgeverij and Manteau, which were acquired by WPG last year, will also switch to the Klopotek publishing solution.

WPG utilizes the Title Management & Product Marketing, Editorial & Production, and Contracts, Rights & Royalties modules of Klopotek’s Product Planning and Management system (PPM).

Paulien Loerts, COO WPG Publishers, explains why staff of the new additions to WPG’s portfolio are also going to work with PPM: “Last year, we did an internal evaluation of the Klopotek system. We have now decided to implement Klopotek in our recently acquired publishing houses after discussing with Klopotek some further enhancements to the software, which will enable us to streamline our business processes and align the internal workflows to meet the highest standards. With these new enhancements tailored to our needs, the decision was clear to start rolling out the Klopotek software at A.W. Bruna and WPG Belgium.”

Ernst Lopes Cardozo, Managing Director of Klopotek International Europe, stressed the importance of this agreement: “WPG was one of our first customers in the Benelux countries. We are very pleased that WPG has chosen to continue the long-lasting relationship with Klopotek, after evaluating several options. Working with WPG was our starting point for many successful implementations in this area, and we are very motivated to ensure a smooth implementation project at the publishing houses that have been added recently to WPG’s portfolio.”
