So we know how important it is not only that the implementation process is reliable, but that it goes smoothly as well. Our implementation projects are totally predictable for our customers with respect to cost, scheduling and the final results.

Klopotek Consultants have implemented our standardized software at more than 200 publishers; in doing so, sticking to the project schedule and staying within the budget are just as important as having a complete command of the processes specific to the publishing industry.
No other company has a comparable foundation made up of the expertise and experience of its specialized consultants at its disposal.
Over the course of hundreds of projects, we have cultivated and refined the Klopotek method. Today, this method acts a reliable and reproducible methodological framework within which we can implement our standardized products. The Klopotek method gives our consultants the ability to plan out and to handle all of the different tasks in a project accurately and gives our customers complete transparency at any time over what has already been completed and what still needs to be done.
Our consultants are not generalists who have no specific knowledge of the industry. Many of them held management positions at publishers before becoming Klopotek consultants. There is also great continuity among our consultants, most of whom have years of project experience. They speak your language and understand your processes.

Professional expertise and customer-oriented organization in Business Units

Not all publishers are the same which is why Klopotek is divided up into business units that are oriented towards the business divisions found at publishers. A publishing house that handles technical information with a strong loose-leaf division needs different advice than a school book publisher or a company that publishes fiction. Even if our standardized software is able to accommodate all of these processes, you, as our customer, still want to work with experts familiar with your specialized business processes.
This is why we are not just organized “for publishers” but in several specialist Business Units – in Germany for trade publishers, technical information and academic and educational publishers. Internationally, we are represented by the Klopotek BV (for Benelux/Scandinavia) and Klopotek UK (for the United Kingdom) Business Units. The American market is served by Klopotek North America, Inc., and Global Turnkey Systems, Inc. (GTS), which is a division of Klopotek North America.
Each business unit team is especially familiar with the specific requirements of a particular market segment and can thus provide you with advice tailored to your business processes and the functionality of our standard products. Our customers can be sure that we combine international software expertise with detailed knowledge of the national publishing industry.

Technology specialists

  • To ensure that implementation goes smoothly, specialized technology teams support this process:
    The “Technology and Reporting” department provides solutions for migration, for the creation of individual interfaces and converters and for reporting. Over the last few years, our experts have developed hundreds of interfaces and migrated data from old systems. These specialists, using tools and methods designed specifically for the purpose, are extremely efficient and quality-oriented.

  • The “Operational Consulting” department ensures that the necessary infrastructure is in place to operate our software, starting with the concept design and installation of the necessary hardware and basic software, right up to setting up and operating a data processing center. The team provides support for the running applications and trains our customers’ system administrators who then want to take on responsibility for providing this support independently.
    These two teams of specialists supervise the implementation and support projects for all of the business units.

Customer service following implementation

Once implementation has been successfully completed, you won’t be left high and dry with a running system. Our business units’ consultants will still be at your disposal to answer any questions following implementation because our software will continue to support you with any new business processes.
However, we also know that it’s sometimes urgent, which is why we attach great importance to our customer service hotline. If something isn’t working properly, you can access a specialized team. Customer services can be contacted by phone or via the internet by all customers for consulting, on the spot bug fixing and remote maintenance assistance with guaranteed service levels.
