Anita Wilson has been appointed Member of the Management of Klopotek International and joined Klopotek & Partner GmbH on 1 January 2009. In her new role, she will oversee and manage international key accounts of the Klopotek Group.

After having earned her degree in English and Romance studies and after having worked at Heidelberg University Library for several years, Anita Wilson was Head of the Training and Clearing Center (TACC) department at Springer Science+Business Media for many years. In her position at Springer, she was responsible for the successful rollout across the group of Klopotek’s PPM (Product Planning and Management) and JEM (Journal Editorial Management) modules. Her role also included managing and further developing the Klopotek system in-house as well as in close cooperation with Klopotek & Partner GmbH.

Ulrich Klopotek von Glowczewski, CEO Klopotek AG, stated that mostly Klopotek customers in the area of scientific, technical, and medical publishing will benefit from Anita Wilson’s in-depth knowledge of business processes: “Anita Wilson has specialist expertise in optimizing business processes at international STM publishers, and she exactly knows how to streamline publishing processes with innovative software products.”

Anita Wilson stressed that, in her experience, implementing PPM and/or other Klopotek programs is not just about supporting business processes: “The decision to make the switch to Klopotek software can – and indeed should – also be a business decision to streamline processes within the company as a whole.
