Security, control and accuracy were the three points stressed by the presenters at the "Digital Asset Distribution Conference: An Emerging Infrastructure" on 21 June 2007 in New York City and on 12 July 2007 in London. Mark Bide from Rightscom Limited and Mike Shatzkin from The IdeaLogical Company, Inc. moderated the event, which was hosted by Klopotek.
Attended by over 100 key individuals from the US publishing industry in New York and over 90 in London, this conference allowed, for the first time ever, the main digital asset distribution companies to gather in one place to describe, demonstrate and answer questions on their individual services.

The efficient distribution of digital content is coming of age and publishers are being faced with many new options. To help publishers better understand this significant issue, Klopotek commissioned The Idea Logical Company, Inc. and Rightscom to research this emerging area of new publishing trading partners. This conference will present the results of their research in conjunction with presentations from the leading Digital Asset Distributors (DADs) for the publishing industry.
The New York Conference will be held on June 21st, 2007 at the Hilton Times Square and the London Conference will be held on July 12th, 2007 at the London Goethe Institut.

The annual Customer Information Day was hosted in Amsterdam for the sixth time. At the invitation of Klopotek's Dutch subsidiary, Klopotek and customers presented new products, enhancements in version 8.4 and their experiences with the Klopotek publishing software.  Participants from the Benelux countries were joined this time by guests from the UK, Germany and for the first time from the USA. Interest focused on Klopotek's latest innovation for production in publishing - “Information ViewPoint” - which enables publishers to freely define their own view on customer as well as on product information. Also welcomed was Klopotek’s new “CE-Tool” for the administration and documentation of all Klopotek systems.

Klopotek AG, the global market leader in standard publishing software, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Klopotek North America, has acquired Global Turnkey Systems, Inc. (GTS), a leading US based supplier of publishing solutions and GTS will operate as a division of Klopotek North America.

Steering production intelligently and interactively: With the Production Cockpit, Klopotek has developed a tool which provides a complete overview of all ongoing production projects at the click of a mouse button. Klopotek’s browser based Production Cockpit opens up completely new possibilities for monitoring and steering production. A red, yellow and green ‘traffic light’ shows the user when there are deviations in either the time schedule or cost plan.

Liber AB, a Wolters Kluwer Education company and Sweden’s leading educational publisher, completed the relaunch of their entire online presence in February 2007. Liber has successfully been running the Klopotek publishing software since early 2005.
