Werner Fischer, the former Executive Vice President of Springer Science+Business Media, has been appointed as Member of Klopotek’s Management Board as of 1 September 2008.

In his new position at Klopotek & Partner GmbH, Werner Fischer will oversee the Shared Services Division. His responsibilities include heading up the software development, customer service and technical project development departments.

Prior to joining Klopotek, Werner Fischer was responsible for IT strategy and development of approximately 70 publishing houses worldwide, which are owned and operated by the Springer Group.
