
Liber AB, Sweden's leading educational publisher, based in Stockholm, and Klopotek & Partner, European market leader for standardized software and consulting solutions for publishers, signed a contract on replacing Liber’s present back-office systems with the Klopotek Standard software solution and with SAP for the financial area.
In Phase 1 the Book Sales and Distribution System BSD, the Customer Care Management System CCM, Production, a recently developed module within Klopotek’s Product Planning and Management System PPM, will be implemented as well as the connection of the Liber Webshop via Klopotek’s WebAgent technology. Hermods, the e-learning company belonging to Liber will implement the Klopotek solution as well.
arvato systems of the Bertelsmann Group have been contracted by Klopotek to implement SAP FI/CO for the publisher’s finance department. The Klopotek-SAP Finance package is an integrated solution standardized for the Wolters Kluwer Educational publishers, the multinational information services company. Both systems are integrated via the Klopotek-SAP Standard Interfaces.
Following the planned go live of Phase 1 the implementation of Contracts, Rights & Royalties, another major PPM module, will go live in spring 2005.
The Klopotek Publishing Solution in English, Dutch and German has become a standard at more than 7,500 publishing workstations in Europe and the US. For Liber Klopotek translates the user interface into Swedish.
The integrated Klopotek Publishing Solution will enable Liber that offers a wide range of material in all subjects for all levels, from pre-school to university and produces material for professional training as well as maps and atlases to optimize management processes and thus secure themselves a clear competitive advantage.
